Vintage 1930s Marcasite Silver Fur Dress Clip
Description
Lovely marcasite dress clip and brooch set dating from the 1930's. Dress clips were popular in the 1920's up until the 1950's and were worn around the neck of a dress or blouse to create a sweetheart neckline, changing the look of the outfit as well as a decorate adornment.
The clip is adorned with marcasite stones, marcasite is actually Pyrite all known as Fools Gold. It was used in jewellery due to it's ability to catch the light, giving a diamond effect.
MEASUREMENTS
The dress clip measures 2.7cm / 1" in height and 1.8cm / 0.7" in length.
CONDITION
The dress clip is in excellent vintage condition.
