Vintage 1930s Silver Marcasite Dress Clip
Description
Vintage 1930s silver marcasite dress clip featuring marcasite gemstones. Marcasites are actually Pyrite all known as Fools Gold. It was used in jewellery due to it's ability to catch the light, giving a diamond effect. The design of the clip has a leaf like shape draped over a rounded triangle studded with marcasites.
This beautiful dress clip can be fastened around the neckline or lapels on a dress, coat or jumper. They can used be to hold a scarf in place. Dress clips are very versatile and are excellent on thinner fabric compared to brooches.
