Vintage Art Deco 1930s ring featuring marcasites set into two intertwined snakes. Marcasites are actually Pyrite all known as Fools Gold. It was used in jewellery due to it's ability to catch the light, giving a diamond effect. This stunning ring features small pink stones for the snake eyes.
Snake jewellery became popular during the Victorian era after Prince Albert proposed to Queen Victorian with a snake engagement ring. Snakes symbolise eternal love and wisdom.
