Descripción
Durante el período victoriano tardío 1880-1901, también conocido como el período 'estético', fue un período inspirado en temas asimétricos naturalistas simples como pájaros, hojas y elementos de estilo japonés como el bambú. Las relaciones comerciales japonesas se habían abierto y un sentido de diseño más simple y refinado era popular. El diseño japonés incluía pájaros, bambú y abanicos.
Nuestro broche japonés de 1879 está engastado en plata esterlina, el broche presenta un pájaro que parece estar cantando sentado en una rama. En la parte posterior del broche está marcado indicando que la pieza fue sellada en Birmingham, Inglaterra en 1879 con plata esterlina. El broche es pesado en peso, en excelentes condiciones.
