Broche Kondakoora antiguo de 1900 con rubí, zafiro y rubí de Jargoon
Descripción
Este hermoso broche es increíblemente inusual, se llama horquilla 'Kondakoora'. Estos pines fueron usados por mujeres en Sri Lanka desde el siglo XVIII hasta principios del siglo XX. Un 'kondakoora' se identifica por el extremo en forma de flecha y el remate en forma de boteh.
El alfiler está engastado en plata con reflejos de plata dorada. La plata dorada es plateada con un color dorado de la parte superior. La pieza está engastada con jergas de talla rosa, también conocidas como 'diamantes Matara'. Estas piedras de color azul pálido se utilizaron para imitar diamantes, pero en realidad son circón azul. Se sientan junto a un rubí y cuatro zafiros rosas.
Esta pieza habría sido una horquilla y fue convertida en broche.
