Descripción
Antiguo joyero victoriano con una tapa plateada decorativa y un recipiente de vidrio moldeado. La caja tiene una serie de marcas, el 'Lion Passant, la letra 'M' y las marcas de un ancla indican que la pieza fue hecha de plata esterlina y sellada en Birmingham, Inglaterra en 1896. La tapa encaja perfectamente en el fondo de vidrio.
La caja tiene la marca del fabricante BPDC, elaborada por Boots Pure Drug Company. Boots tal como se estableció en 1849 por John Boot, una tienda de hierbas medicinales en Nottingham, Inglaterra. Boots es hoy una cadena farmacéutica multimillonaria.
La caja es hermosa y compacta, sería el contenedor perfecto para pequeños artículos de joyería. En la década de 1890, habría estado en un tocador de dama victoriano, lleno de su colorete, polvo o crema favoritos .
