Descripción
Pendientes antiguos de acero de corte victoriano engastados en forma de flor. La gota de acero cortado cuelga de los hilos de los pendientes de plata de ley.
Las joyas de acero cortado están hechas de pernos de acero facetados, fueron populares desde la década de 1760 hasta finales del siglo XIX. Matthew Boulton (1728-1809), un fabricante de máquinas de vapor, perfeccionó una técnica para facetar pequeños espárragos de acero, estos espárragos se utilizaron como alternativas costosas para engastes de gemas. Bajo la luz de las velas, el acero cortado reflejaba la luz como si fueran diamantes.
Estos pendientes eran originalmente botones, hemos cogido las piezas y las hemos transformado en unos preciosos pendientes. Los aretes han sido convertidos a mano en Londres por Tiffany, nuestro experto orfebre de la casa.
