Relicario de luto victoriano antiguo con esmalte negro engastado en un diseño ornamentado con la palabra 'In Memoriam' alrededor del relicario en un diseño de pergamino con una gran estrella en el centro.
La joyería de luto se remonta al siglo XVI, se hizo popular en la era victoriana cuando el Príncipe Alberto falleció cuando la Reina Victoria se puso de luto. Las piezas de joyería de luto más interesantes incluyen el trabajo del cabello, que no era necesariamente del difunto, gran parte del cabello se importó de Europa para satisfacer la demanda. Se utilizó para crear una conexión entre un ser querido disminuido.
