Descripción
Colgante antiguo de acero de corte victoriano con una gran perla ovalada de imitación engastada en un metal dorado. Este colgante es muy inusual y raro, la perla de imitación en el centro del colgante es hueca y se mueve. La perla está rodeada por un patrón de bucles, enmarcada por cuentas de acero cortadas. El colgante cuelga de una nueva cadena de oro amarillo de 9 quilates.
Las joyas de acero cortado están hechas de pernos de acero facetados, fueron populares desde la década de 1760 hasta finales del siglo XIX. Matthew Boulton (1728-1809), un fabricante de máquinas de vapor, perfeccionó una técnica para facetar pequeños espárragos de acero, estos espárragos se utilizaron como alternativas costosas para engastes de gemas. Bajo la luz de las velas, el acero cortado reflejaba la luz como si fueran diamantes.

El colgante mide 5,6 cm / 2,2" de alto, 2,7 cm / 1" de ancho y 1,7 cm / 0,6" de grosor. La cadena mide 18" de largo.
