Broche antiguo de plata de ley victoriana. El broche está adornado con hojas decorativas, corazones de oro rosa, hojas y flores. El broche está marcado con un ancla, la letra 'b' y un león junto con la marca del fabricante 'RJW'. Los sellos describen la historia de la pieza, el broche fue hecho a mano con plata de ley 925 en Birmingham en 1876.
La pieza está en excelentes condiciones y mide 4,5 cm / 1,7" de largo y 2,2 cm / 0,8" de ancho.
La joyería Mizpah fue increíblemente popular, la palabra es una fuente bíblica: Génesis, capítulo 31, versículo 49, donde se lee 'Y Mizpah, porque dijo que el Señor velará entre tres y yo cuando estemos ausentes el uno del otro'. Mizpah literalmente significaba torres de vigilancia.
