Relicario victoriano antiguo con hermosos grabados de pájaros, juncos y hierba engarzados en plata de ley. En el lado izquierdo del relicario hay un panel de vidrio con una hermosa pieza de cabello asegurada en el interior.
La joyería de luto se remonta al siglo XVI, se hizo popular en la era victoriana cuando el Príncipe Alberto falleció cuando la Reina Victoria se puso de luto. Las piezas de joyería de luto más interesantes incluyen el trabajo del cabello, que no era necesariamente del difunto, gran parte del cabello se importó de Europa para satisfacer la demanda. Se utilizó para crear una conexión entre un ser querido fallecido.

El medallón está en excelentes condiciones, el único elemento a destacar es que el vidrio original que cubre el cabello tiene una grieta.
