Antiguo anillo victoriano de oro de 9 quilates con cinco gemas turquesas que rodean un diamante. En la parte posterior del anillo hay una pequeña sección de vidrio con cabello tejido que indica que esto habría sido un anillo de luto.
La joyería de luto se remonta al siglo XVI, se hizo popular en la era victoriana cuando el Príncipe Alberto falleció cuando la Reina Victoria se puso de luto. Las piezas de joyería de luto más interesantes incluyen el trabajo del cabello, que no era necesariamente del difunto, gran parte del cabello se importó de Europa para satisfacer la demanda.
