Durante la época victoriana, las jóvenes victorianas escondían la imagen de un hombre al que admiraban, y si el hombre ofrecía un mechón de cabello, por lo general seguía una propuesta de matrimonio. Los medallones se consideraban una declaración de intención de casarse.
Nuestro dulce relicario de corazón diminuto presenta encantadores grabados en el frente y lisos en la parte posterior. El relicario está engastado en oro amarillo macizo de 9 quilates. El interior del medallón puede contener dos imágenes.
El colgante tiene una serie de marcas que indican que la pieza fue sellada en 1958 en Cheshire y engastada en oro amarillo de 9 quilates.
