Descripción
Relicario ovalado de plata esterlina de la década de 1950 con adornos grabados. En el interior del medallón hay dos áreas donde se pueden colocar imágenes.
El medallón está marcado como 'Silver Stylic' y probablemente fue fabricado por 'Smith, Ewen & Stylic Ltd' de Birmingham. La tienda funcionó desde 1946 hasta 1971.
HISTORIA
El relicario tiene una larga y rica historia, durante los siglos anteriores, se usaban para llevar amuletos de buena suerte, recuerdos, cabello, polvo e incluso veneno. El relicario aseguró su estatus romántico durante la era victoriana, se convirtió en las piezas de joyería más misteriosas y atractivas. Solo el usuario sabe qué secretos se esconden dentro del relicario. Iba a ser la última muestra de amor. Las imágenes guardadas en medallones eran originalmente retratos en miniatura, que fueron reemplazados gradualmente por fotografías.

El relicario mide 3 cm / 1,1" de alto y 2 cm / 0,7" de ancho. El amuleto cuelga de una nueva cadena extensible de plata esterlina que mide 40,6 cm - 45,7 cm / cadena de 16"-18".
