Pendientes vintage de pez koi esmaltado de los años 60. Estos aretes inusuales cuentan con esmalte morado y azul engastado en un pez Koi, el cuerpo del pez se mueve mientras usa los aretes. Lo más probable es que los aretes vinieran de China como un recuerdo del viajero de los años 60, una verdadera exportación china antigua.
La leyenda antigua más antigua del pez koi data del 533 a. C. La leyenda dice que el filósofo chino Confucio nació un hijo en el 533 a. C., el rey Shoko de Ro le regaló una carpa negra. Según la leyenda, todos los koi modernos y sus colores brillantes provienen de la carpa negra que el rey le dio a Confucio. En general, se cree que los koi te dan buena fortuna, éxito, prosperidad, longevidad, coraje, ambición y perseverancia.
