Description
Bague victorienne antique avec perles de rocaille blanches et émail noir sur or jaune 9 carats. Autour de la bande, il y a un morceau de cheveux tissé. À l'intérieur du groupe, il y a une inscription "Ma mère" à côté des poinçons.
Les bijoux de deuil remontent au XVIe siècle, ils sont devenus populaires à l'époque victorienne lorsque le prince Albert est décédé lorsque la reine Victoria est entrée en deuil. Les bijoux de deuil les plus intéressants comprennent les coiffures, qui ne provenaient pas nécessairement du défunt. Une grande partie des cheveux a été importée d'Europe pour répondre à la demande. Il a été utilisé pour créer un lien entre un être cher diminué.
Les poinçons indiquent que la pièce a été poinçonnée en 1878 à Birmingham, en Angleterre, à partir d'or 9 carats.
