This delicate Victorian heart pendant is a romantic example of late 19th century jewellery, dating to c.1880s–1890s. The heart is set throughout with paste stones arranged in a classic clustered design.
Paste jewellery was highly prized during the Victorian era for its ability to reflect light beautifully while allowing for intricate, decorative designs. Here, the stones are set into a warm brass mount, now softened by time with a gentle antique patina that enhances the pendant’s character and period charm.
The pendant hangs from a new 9ct yellow gold chain, this heart pendant can be worn alone or layered with other antique and modern pieces for a subtle shimmer at the neckline.
