Description
Boîte à bijoux victorienne antique avec un dessus argenté décoratif et un pot en verre moulé. La boîte a un certain nombre de marques, le 'Lion Passant, la lettre 'M' et les marques d'ancre indiquent que la pièce a été fabriquée en argent sterling et poinçonnée à Birmingham, en Angleterre en 1896. Le couvercle s'adapte parfaitement au fond en verre.
La boîte porte la marque du fabricant BPDC, fabriquée par Boots Pure Drug Company. Boots créée en 1849 par John Boot, un magasin de phytothérapie à Nottingham, en Angleterre. Boots est aujourd'hui une chaîne pharmaceutique de plusieurs milliards de livres.
La boîte est belle et compacte, ce serait le contenant parfait pour les petits bijoux. Dans les années 1890, il aurait été assis sur une coiffeuse de dames victorienne, rempli de son rouge, poudre ou crème préféré .
