Description
Tour de cou victorien antique French Jet, avec un grand pendentif à facettes en verre noir suspendu à un magnifique ruban de velours noir. Le collier est conçu pour être porté autour du cou en nœud.
Le jet français est un verre noir utilisé à la fin de l'ère victorienne pour imiter Whitby Jet. Les bijoux noirs sont devenus populaires après la mort du prince Albert et le deuil de la reine Victoria. Les bijoux en jais étaient le code vestimentaire de deuil obligatoire.
DES MESURES
La goutte du collier mesure 4,4 cm / 1,7" de hauteur et 1,5 cm / 0,5" de largeur. Le ruban de velours mesure 91 cm / 36" (ce qui laisse suffisamment de place au porteur pour nouer un nœud). Le ruban mesure 1 cm / 0,3 de largeur.
CONDITION
Le pendentif est en excellent état antique et le ruban est neuf. L'extrémité du ruban a été cousue en toute sécurité.
