Broche de portrait en porcelaine victorienne antique (1937-1901) Pinchbeck. Cette broche victorienne est faite de pinchbeck entourant un portrait imprimé d'une jolie dame. La broche se ferme avec un fermoir en « c » ouvert.
Pinchbeck est un alliage métallique composé de laiton, de zinc et de cuivre fabriqué par Christopher Pinchbeck dans les années 1720. Il était un horloger londonien et Pinchbeck a été développé comme une alternative à l'or. Le matériau était moins cher, plus léger et ne se ternissait pas et pouvait être transformé en motifs complexes. La broche est en excellent état vintage, mesurant 5,5 cm / 2,5" de longueur et 4 cm / 1,7" de largeur.
