Broche en lézard en argent Art Déco des années 1920 avec de superbes pierres de marcassite à facettes sur le corps et les jambes. Cette broche réaliste est sertie d'yeux orange vif. Les marcassites sont en fait de la pyrite également connue sous le nom de Fools Gold. Il était utilisé en joaillerie en raison de sa capacité à capter la lumière, donnant un effet diamant.
Les bijoux en lézard sont devenus très populaires à l'époque victorienne et se sont poursuivis dans les années 1920. Les Victoriens appréciaient les pièces de nouveauté qui comprenaient de nombreux types d'animaux différents.
