Broche victorienne 'Mary' Mizpah en argent sterling
Description
Antique Victorien _ÌÔÌäMizpah_ÌÔ ? broche en argent. La broche est ornée du nom 'MARY' avec de délicates gravures. La pièce est poinçonnée d'un lion, d'une ancre et de la lettre "a", à côté de la marque du fabricant "W" "L". Les poinçons décrivent l'histoire de la pièce, la broche a été fabriquée à la main en argent sterling 925 à Birmingham en 1875.
La pièce est en excellent état et mesure 4,0 cm / 01,5" de longueur et 1,5 cm / 0,5" de hauteur.
Les bijoux Mizpah étaient incroyablement populaires, le mot est une source biblique : Genèse, chapitre 31, verset 49, où il est écrit "Et Mizpah, car il a dit que le Seigneur veille entre moi et trois quand nous sommes absents l'un de l'autre". Mitspa signifiait littéralement une tour de guet.
