Vintage 1957 Engraved Silver Bangle Bracelet
Description
This mid-century sterling silver hinged bangle is a beautifully crafted example of British silversmithing from the post-war period. Designed with a gently oval profile, the bangle is engraved throughout with flowing foliate scrolls and stylised floral motifs, hand-cut into the silver to create depth, movement, and soft contrast against the polished ground. The engraving wraps continuously around the exterior, giving the piece a refined yet decorative presence on the wrist.
The bangle opens via a discreet hinged clasp and is fitted with a safety chain, a thoughtful functional detail typical of quality mid-20th-century jewellery.
