SOLD | Antique Edwardian Silver Stamp Case Necklace
Description
Antique silver stamp case. The pendant is engraved on the back of the case with the initials 'RB' into a stunning script. The case was originally designed to store stamps however it would be perfect for a picture or momento similar to a locket.
We think a miniature love letter would be incredibly romantic. The golden age of these little cases is said to be between 1890 and 1915. The Victorian designers made many different types and patterns.
The pendant has a number of marks indicating the piece was hallmarked in Chester, England and it is made from silver. The hallmark is slightly worn away but it most likely from the Edwardian era.
