The Victorian used stars and moons to be the subject of many objet d'art from jewellery to glass wear. Stars symbolised "spirit, guidance and direction" for its wearer.
This beautiful 18ct yellow gold ornate ring features a single red-pink ruby alongside two pearls. The ruby is star set, a wonderful traditional setting from this era.
