Antique 1905 Sterling Silver Albert Pocket Watch Chain Bracelet
Description
This antique Albert watch chain is a refined example of Edwardian silver craftsmanship. Made from solid sterling silver, it features uniform curb links throughout, each individually stamped with the lion passant, indicating sterling purity. The chain is beautifully proportioned, substantial in weight, and versatile in styling.
The T-bar is hallmarked with H.B (maker’s mark), the lion passant, and the date letter ‘f’, dating the piece to 1905. The Albert clip also bears the lion passant and a partially worn maker’s mark.
Originally used to secure a gentleman’s pocket watch, the Albert chain was named after Prince Albert, husband of Queen Victoria. Today, these heritage chains are enjoying a resurgence—often worn as statement bracelets, joined together as necklaces, or as pocket watch chain for wedding accessories for grooms.
