Antique Victorian earrings featuring stunning red garnet gemstones set in 8ct gold. The earrings secure at the back with a comfortable screw setting. The garnet gemstones are faceted allowing them to catch the light. The earrings are set in garnet gold a lower grade of gold used extensively during this period.
Garnets were used extensively in all different designs of Georgian and Victorian jewellery, bracelets, rings, brooches and elaborate necklaces, they represent the birthstone of January.
