Vintage Pear Cut Ametrine 1.26ct Diamond 18ct Gold Earrings
Description
Ametrine is found in Bolivia, it is a bi-colour quartz of both Amethyst and Citrine. Legend has it Amethyst will keep the wearer clear-headed and quick witted in battle and in business affairs. Citrine gemstones are transparent, the name comes from the French word for lemon. Citrine is the birthstone for November and it also commemorates the thirtieth anniversary.
Our 11ct pear cut Amertrine is a beautiful gemstone with purple and orange hues.. The stone is cut into a pear or teardrop shape, these beautiful stones are surrounded by a halo of 1.26ct of white diamonds. The earrings are set into a heavy solid 18ct yellow gold setting with a solid earring back.
These pieces are from our archive, we designed the earrings and had them handmade in the early 2000. We worked with a talented Goldsmith in London, selected the stones and diamonds. The earrings also have a matching necklace.
