Vintage 1930's Bakelite Flower Necklace
Description
Vintage 1930's Bakelite pendant, featuring amber coloured Bakelite beads strung with 9ct gold chain. The necklace has a beautifully caved flower made from Bakelite. Bakelite was developed by Leo Baekeland in 1907 is was an early plastic resin originally used for industrial purposes. The material was used widely in the 1920's and 1930's.
MEASUREMENTS
The necklace measures 3.8cm / 1.5" in height, 3.1cm / 1.2" in height. The pendant hangs from a 18" 9ct yellow gold chain.
CONDITION
The necklace is in excellent vintage condition.
