Antique Edwardian Faux Pearl Paste Brooch Set
Description
Our charming Edwardian brooch set features two brooches set in brass. The brooches feature two faux white and grey pearls surrounded by a halo of paste stones. The brooches are in excellent condition.
The glass stones are manufactured with lead oxide and referred to as 'Flint Glass'. The glass is cut and faceted to increase the reflections and fire. Paste was considered a popular material in costume and fine jewellery from the 1750s-1930s.
