In the Victorian era Opals symbolised fidelity and assurance. Opal is the birthstone for October and the stone is also given on the 14th wedding anniversary.
Our Modern 2016 9ct yellow gold earrings feature stunning Black Opals which are alive with such fire, absolutely stunning. Within the gemstones you can see iridescent blues, greens and yellows.
The opal is most likely to be from Australia, the Opal is a 'triplet' the is a process where a slice of Opal gemstone is suspended between a clear top and backed with darker resin back. The stones are treated in this way to enhance the colour of the opal layer and to protect the stone.
