Vintage 1920s silver plated Egyptian Revival Scarab winged brooch. In the early 20th century Egypt was of great interest in the West with the discovery of Tutankhamun. This brought about the Egyptian Revival period where design in jewellery, fashion and furniture was inspired by Egypt.
