Vintage 1920s Silver Medallion Necklace
Description
Vintage 1920s sterling silver medallion pendant featuring ornate engraved detailing dating back to 1926. In the centre of the piece there is a space where an engraving could go, as well as the back of the pendant.
The piece has a number of hallmarks indicating the piece was hallmarked in 1929 set in sterling silver in Birmingham, England by R.P.
The necklace has been styled with a new heavy sterling silver chain, the piece has that classic design, the piece was made in the 1920s. The medal would have been worn on a pocket watch chain possibly awarded for a sports achievement or for decorative purposes.
