Reserved - Antique 1915 9ct Rose Gold Star Celestial Gypsy Ring
Description
The Victorian used stars and moons to be the subject of many objet d'art from jewellery to glass wear. Stars symbolised "spirit, guidance and direction" for its wearer.
Our antique ring dates back to 1915 at the beginning of the first world war when George V was on the British throne. The ring features three stars set with amethyst stone set in 9ct rose gold. The stones would have been set by hand with each grain of gold being pushed on the stone creating this beautiful star shape.
The ring was hallmarked in 1915 in Birmingham, England.
