Antique Pair of Art Deco Sterling Silver & Glass Jewellery Pots
Description
This elegant pair of Art Deco jewellery pots date to 1920, beautifully combining fine cut glass with sterling silver lids. Each lid is fully hallmarked for Birmingham 1920, featuring the anchor (Birmingham assay mark), lion passant (sterling silver), date letter ‘V’, and maker’s mark ‘WM’.
Originally designed to sit atop a lady’s dressing table, these pots would have held rouge, powder, or small personal items. Today, they make wonderful containers for rings, earrings, or keepsakes — perfect for gifting or as a refined storage addition to any vanity or jewellery collection.
Their simple yet timeless design reflects the understated glamour of the Art Deco era, where functionality was elevated with graceful detailing.
