Reserved - Antique Edwardian 1906 Sapphire diamond Bangle Bracelet
Description
Historically it is believed sapphires symbolise truth, sincerity and faithfulness. It is also believed to have curative properties and to keep one safe from illness and protect against poison and spells. Sapphire is the birthstone of September.
The Victorian used stars and moons to be the subject of many objet d'art from jewellery to glass wear. Stars symbolised "spirit, guidance and direction" for its wearer.
This beautiful 9ct rose and yellow gold ornate bracelet features three bright blue sapphires alongside two diamonds. The gemstones are star set, a wonderful traditional design from this era. The bangle closes securely and can be worn confidently with the added safety chain. The two tone bangle is yellow gold on the front and rose gold on the back.
The bangle has a number of marks indicating the piece was hallmarked in 1906 in Chester, England.
