Antique Edwardian 1909 Solid 9ct Gold Locket Necklace
Description
Antique Edwardian (1901-1914) locket, set in 9ct rose gold. The gold locket is decorated with two circular borders filled in with vertical lines. On the back of the locket the same vertical line and circle decoration can be found.
The Locket is perhaps the most mysterious and alluring pieces of jewellery. Only the wearer knows what secrets lie within the locket. It has to be the ultimate love token.
HALLMARKS
At the bottom on the back of the piece there are four hallmarks, only two are visible, '375' and an anchor indicating the piece is made from 9ct gold and it was hallmarked in Birmingham.
MEASUREMENTS
The locket measures 2.1cm / 0.8" in diameter. The locket hangs from a new 18" 9ct rose gold chain.
WEIGHT
The locket weights 3.5 grams.
CONDITION
The locket is in very good antique condition, on the surface and back of the piece there are very slight imperfections, as shown in the pictures.
