Antique Edwardian pendant featuring a central amethyst set in 9ct 9ct yellow gold surrounded by seed pearls and gold leaves. These types of pendants were named Lavalier pendants popularised by the Duchesse de la Valliere, a mistress of King Louis XIV of France.
Amethyst is the Birthstone of February.

The pendant measures 4cm / 1.5" (excluding bail and including pearl) in height and 2.1cm / 0.8" in width. The pendant hangs from a new 9ct yellow gold chain, measuring 18".
