Antique Edwardian (1837-1901) diamond and turquoise 18ct yellow gold Gypsy ring. This beautiful ring features two turquoise cabochon gemstones in a decorative gypsy setting alongside a large gypsy set diamond. The diamond has an open back setting where light can pass through. A gypsy setting is where a gemstone is almost imbedded into the piece with small prongs holding it in place.
The ring has a number of hallmarks, a crown, number 18, anchor, AMB with the letter 'f'. The ring is set 18ct gold handmade in Birmingham by Abraham Meyer Blanckensee in 1905-1906.
The ring is in excellent antique condition, measuring 0.8cm in width, the diamond is 0.4cm in width. The ring is size 0 1/2 / 8.
