Antique Edwardian Rhodolite Garnet Rose Gold Necklace
Description
Antique Edwardian pendant featuring a central rodolite garnet claw set in 9ct rose gold and yellow gold surrounded by leaves. The stone has a slightly purple hue typical of a rhodolite garnet. These types of pendants were named Lavalier pendants popularised by the Duchesse de la Valliere, a mistress of King Louis XIV of France.

CONDITION
The piece is in good antique condition, the only damage to note is a very small hole in the right ball at the top of the piece, this does mot detract from the piece. The metal is in between rose and yellow gold with a high shine.
MEASUREMENTS
The pendant measures 3.3cm / 1.3" in height and 1.3cm / 0.5" in width. The pendant hangs from a new 9ct rose gold 18" chain.
