Antique George V 1919 Aquamarine 9ct Gold Bar Necklace
Description
Aquamarine’s name comes from the Latin for sea water and it was said to calm waves and keep sailors safe at sea. March’s birthstone was also thought to enhance the happiness of marriages. (Source GIA)
Our unique bar pendant features a large Aquamarine gemstone set in 9ct yellow gold. The pendant hangs long from a new 9ct gold trace chain. The pendant dates back to 1919, it was reimagined from a bar brooch. The piece is fully hallmarked.
This pendant was converted from a brooch into a pendant by our expert Master Goldsmith in Hatton Garden London.
