Antique Victorian sterling silver medallion pendant featuring ornate engraved detailing dating back to 1887. In the centre of the piece, there is a space where an engraving could go, as well as the back of the pendant. The pendant has a good weight with a smooth round centre and cut out detailing.
The piece has a number of hallmarks indicating the piece was hallmarked in 1887-1888 set in sterling silver from Birmingham, England, made by C.E.S (Charles Edward Soloman).
The necklace has been styled with a long old sterling silver chain, the piece has that classic antique Victorian design, the piece was made in the middle of the Victorian era. The medal would have been worn on a pocket watch chain possibly awarded for a sports achievement or for decorative purposes.

The pendant measures 3.8cm / 1.5" in height and 2.8cm / 1.1" in width. The pendant hangs from a old sterling silver chain measuring 63cm / 24.8".
