Horseshoes have long been a symbol of good luck and protection. In the Victorian era, people believed that hanging a horseshoe in the home could ward off evil spirits and bring good fortune.
In jewellery, the horseshoe symbol was often used as a talisman to bring luck and prosperity to the wearer. Victorian horseshoe jewellery becoming popular in 1880s was often adorned with gemstones and intricate designs, making it both beautiful and meaningful.
