Antique Victorian locket featuring a floral design set with red paste stones and seed pearls. This beautiful locket is set in 9ct rose gold, the pendant is English in origin. The locket hangs from a new 9ct rose gold chain. The locket is a gold 'back and front' locket which means the front and back of the locket are 9ct rose gold while the inside is brass. Brass was used at this time for strength, lockets are opened and closed which can weaken the closure, brass solved this problem at the time.
