Antique Victorian charm necklace featuring a piece of orange coral set in 9ct yellow gold. The charm hangs from a new 9ct yellow gold chain.
In the 19th century it was traditional for children to wear coral necklaces and it was thought to ward off diseases, illnesses, evil spirits and danger. Naples Italy were the main sources of Coral. Coral was the favourite Christening present for the Victorians.
