Antique Edwardian 18ct gold ring, featuring beautiful gypsy set rubies and a single diamond with ornate hearts on the shoulder of the ring. This beautiful setting is a classic Victorian / Edwardian style. The ring has a number of hallmarks indicating the piece is 18ct gold, hallmarked in Birmingham made by A & W and the letter 'e' (1904)

It was believed those who wore rubies were bestowed good fortune, throughout history rubies were worn by emperors and kings. Still to this day we value the gemstone just as highly. The ruby is considered one of the four most precious gemstones in the world alongside Sapphire, Emerald and Diamond.
