Antique Victorian 18ct gold ring, featuring beautiful gypsy set diamonds and a single ruby with ornate shoulders. This beautiful setting is a classic Victorian style. The ring has a number of hallmarks indicating the piece is 18ct gold, made by S.U.L ltd, hallmarked in Birmingham.
Ruby is the birthstone for July, it is the colour of love, anger, passion and fury. It was believed those who wore rubies were bestowed good fortune, throughout history rubies were worn by emperors and kings. Still to this day we value the gemstone just as highly. The ruby is considered one of the four most precious gemstones in the world alongside Sapphire, Emerald and Diamond.
