Description
Antique Victorian birdcage button set in brass with a gold gilt overlay. This piece was originally from a waistcoat. The button hangs from a new 9ct yellow gold chain. In the Victorian era buttons where just as important as jewellery, even in mourning, women wore special black glass buttons on their mourning clothes.

The pendant measure 1.5cm / 0.5" in diameter, the bar measures 2cm / 0.7". The button is strung on a 9ct 18" rose gold chain.
