Antique Victorian Hand Painted Boy Jet Necklace
Description
Antique Victorian jet pendant with a painted porcelain boy. The porcelain plaque displays a young Tyrolean boy also called a Green or Gypsey boy. The painting would have been hand painted in Austria at the end of the 19th century.
The pendant is light compared to its size, the Jet mount is excellent condition and painting is perfect with no scratches or flaking.
The pendant has been styled with a new sterling silver chain. The necklace also looks very good on a piece of material such as black velvet.
MEASUREMENTS
The pendant measures 6.5cm / 2.5" in height and 3.3cm / 1.3" in width. The necklace measures 18 - 20" in length.
