Antique Victorian Italian jewellery box featuring beautiful micro-mosaic design on the top of the piece and a continuous orate pattern around the piece. They are made using tiny pieces of multicoloured cut glass set in intricate floral pattern and set into brass. Micro mosaic jewellery was predominantly made in Italy. Micro-mosaic was sold to the Victorian ladies in the early and mid-19th century when tourism was on a high in Rome.

The box measures 4.5cm / 1.7" in diameter and 2.6cm / 1.0" in height.
CONDITION:
The box is in good antique condition, the piece is not missing any glass mosaics pieces.
